//Race Report: SANDWICH

The full results aren't out yet, but regardless, it was a good showing by the LEC Cross Team today.

Difficult, un-cyclocross like conditions left, even the fans sweating buckets.

First props go to the two new team members, Kasper and Vicente. 31° and a 15 min race (the usual league is 10 mins for their age) was a baptism of fire and on a long course, but they both stayed the distance.

Elias put in a good shift, despite late sign-on giving him a rubbish grid position, and Daniel and Kien did their bit to have some LEC shirts up near the pointy end of the race.

Lola had another great start, then wiped out, trying to overtake on a sloping turn. Very proud that she was trying to get back on the bike!

Next up, Ana took on the longer course and conquered some early lap nerves to go the distance, also overcoming a crash and a fight with the course tape. All good experience. Finally, the Mahoney showdown, and Rhianna is clinging onto her throne for another week, giving a masterclass on the hurdles. Riley will be back tho, he's looking hungry...

A cracking end to the day with a beach team building session and ice creams.

Kien only eight seconds off being on the podium! Kasper only four seconds off being on the podium!

Great racing from everyone today. Enjoy the beach.
